Mitchell comes to Bronco Construction with an unusual but applicable background: 20 years at a DuPont X-ray film plant as a pipefitter, maintenance chief with a 60-man crew, and a film production supervisor. His DuPont years have schooled him in precision (“no patient wants to be re-shot just because of faulty film”) and given him the ability to calmly multi-task. “When the pressure’s on and I’ve got to coordinate lots of people and put out lots of little fires, it doesn’t shake me,” Mitchell says. “I’ve already been there.”

Before joining Bronco in 2005, Mitchell transitioned into residential construction as a plumbing contractor, so he was familiar with homebuilding. But with Bronco, he sees builder/owner relationships beyond anything he had ever experienced. “We will literally stay involved with an owner until the pictures are hung. It’s not just about a punch-list with us. I’ve seen us carry in the boxes, help put clothes in the closet and hang the pictures. By the time the house is built,” notes Mitchell, “that’s how close we and the owners feel toward each other.”

In fact, this bond of friendship and trust can extend for years after construction. Bronco offers its customers a maintenance program, especially useful to owners who do not live year-‘round in their Bronco-built homes. “We look after the needs of the house, handle upgrades, maintain it as the years go by. Who would know your house better, or care more about it, than the people who built it?” asks Mitchell. “With every house, Bronco keeps complete records regarding every stick of wood, every finish, every detail.

“I have to say that Bronco does things for its clients – and its employees – that go beyond any other builder I’m aware of. Bob is genuine, and he’s been a blessing to a lot of people.”
